Definitely some creeper tears rolling reading this. sweetupndown: you thought I didn’t really notice. But I did. I wanted to high-five you. Yesterday I had a pair of brothers in my store. One was maybe between 15-17. He was a wrestler at the local high school. Kind of tall, stocky and handsome. He had a younger brother, who was maybe about 10-12 years old. The…

Short but very sweet. Give it a watch. drawnblog: Sunni Brown’s TED talk about the importance of doodling and sketching is no news to us, but let’s hope everyone else learn a little something.  (via TED:...

Inkscape. It's awesome.
I do almost all of my work in vector format. I love that it’s so easily editable and the file sizes stay small and it has a nice clean look to it that I feel compliments my style of drawing. Also it’s very well-spoken and polite and always says please and thank you and it’s breath always smells minty.  Up until recently I used the same software package that most vector...

The Teddy Bear Bros.
This is the final design of the Teddy Bear Brothers, the featured players of a picture book I’m working on called, “YOU ARE A TREE!”  I’m hopeful that the full rough will be done and ready to start shopping around soon. I have a few manuscripts all written up and I’m to the point where I’m kind of excited about finally getting to show some of it to...

It is a brave new day from whence I shall no longer hide my artwork away in the dark, dank and against the will of science faintly moist confines of my hard drive. I shall share every scrap of sketching and every napkin of notes until we all get that awkward,...
